Bend YP DevLabs: Conversational Vulnerability-Building Trust to have Difficult Conversations
Conversational Vulnerability-Building Trust to have Difficult Conversations
The discussions around the dinner table with friends and family seem to be getting harder, more complicated, and more emotional. How do we speak our own opinions without getting into a yelling match? Can we hold respect for others even when we don’t respect their ideals? Is it possible to have hard conversations that build relationships instead of breaking them? Dr. Rev. Steven Koski is going to try and help us answer these hard questions, and help us build our relational communication tool box.
We will learn:
How to be responsible for ourselves and our own energy
How to get into and out of uncomfortable conversations with grace
How to create emotional containers to have safe discussions
How not to avoid disagreement, but disagree better.
