Our family purchased the bakery in February 2019, but Great Harvest Bread has been part of downtown Bend for the past 27 years. We are hoping to grow the business and show our kids what a small business can do for the community. What sets our bakery apart: we use a stone mill to freshly mill our wheat and spelt flour in house, and we pride ourselves on simple, quality ingredients to make fresh products daily. Our most popular breads are made with only five ingredients: flour, GloryBee honey, yeast, water and salt.
We've lived in bend for almost eight years, and have two human kids (ages 9 and 12) and a Bernese Mountain Dog child. We love hiking, camping, Saturday pizza/movie nights, and games. The bakery has been a great way to show our kids what hard work can do and how simple things can make people smile. The bread is delicious, the goodies are delicious, and the sandwiches are delicious. : )
