Description
BEND 101: Growth in Bend – Where We Stand & Where We’re Going—October 7
Bend 101 is all about learning and connection for new residents and those who've been here a while but are wanting to become more involved. Spend the evening getting to know the history of Bend, how it developed into what we experience today, and how we can all contribute to a thriving community as we grow into the future.
Join us for a special Bend 101 focused on how our city is growing—and how you can help shape its future. This engaging session will feature the City of Bend’s recently presented Growth Plan, a panel of local leaders, and interactive discussions about the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid change. Whether you're new to Bend or a long-time resident, this is your chance to learn where we're headed, understand how decisions are made, and discover meaningful ways to get involved. Growth in Bend isn’t accidental—it’s intentional, and your voice matters.
There will be time to socialize, indulge in bites and beverages, and enjoy the program at OSU Cascades Campus Edward J. Ray Hall.
GUEST SPEAKERS INCLUDE:
- Damon Runberg—State Economist, Business Oregon
- Kelly Cannon-Miller—Executive Director, Deschutes Historical Museum
