Bend ET Social @ Deschutes Historical Museum—September 25

Wednesday, September 25, 2024 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

Enjoy a beautiful fall evening with Bend Emerging Talent (Bend ET) on September 25 at Deschutes Historical Museum

Did you know that Bend’s first mayor, Arthur Goodwillie, was elected at the age of 26? Or that George Palmer Putnam served as majority owner, publisher, and editor of The Bend Bulletin at age 24, and he was mayor of Bend at 25?

Emerging leaders have been forging Bend’s future since the very beginning. The Deschutes Historical Museum invites you to an after-hours night at the museum, filled with lively conversation and special viewings of our exhibits, Klunkers and Stumpjumpers and Cruisin’ 97 with the exhibit curators. You’ll also have the chance to win a specially curated basket of treasures from the museum’s gift store.

Operated by the Deschutes County Historical Society, the museum is dedicated to the preservation of and education about Deschutes County’s past. But it takes money, time, and community connections to make sure we capture and preserve the diversity of stories and experiences in our history. Take a peek at what it takes to care for the past and how you can get involved and make a difference.
