Whether you are currently in business or considering starting your own business, insuring that you have set up the right legal entity is critical. Do you want to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of different business structures, such as sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, LLC, and more? Do you want to know how to register your business name, obtain licenses and permits, file taxes, and protect your assets and liabilities?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this class is for you. In this class, you will learn about the basics of business structure and how to choose the one that best suits your needs and goals. You will also learn about the legal, financial, and operational implications of each business structure, and how to comply with the relevant laws and regulations.
By the end of this class, you will be able to:

Compare and contrast different types of business entities
Identify the factors that influence your choice of business structure
Register your business name and obtain necessary licenses and permits
Protect your personal and business assets and liabilities
This class is designed for anyone who wants to start or grow their own small business, or who wants to learn more about the legal aspects of entrepreneurship. No prior knowledge or experience is required. The class is taught by Dan Spencer, an experienced local business lawyer who will guide you through the process of choosing the right legal structure for your small business.
