
Social Media/Marketing Intern
The Diversability Inc. Social Media/Marketing Intern works closely with Administrative Team members overseeing tasks related to social media and marketing. This position is part of the Administrative Team and is directly supervised by the Operations Director. The Social Media/Marketing Intern accomplishes their responsibilities through a collaborative, constructive and compassionate style, guided by Diversability Inc. mission and vision statements.

Position Type: Internship, Part Time (approx. 10 hours/week)
Duration: Six months

Diversability Inc. is a dynamic and growing community-based service organization. We are an established 501(c)3 nonprofit providing contracted services with both Vocational Rehabilitation and Office of Developmental Disability Service departments of the Oregon Department of Human Services. We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media and Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, digital marketing strategies, and content creation within the nonprofit world.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Assist in managing and scheduling posts across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Content Creation: Develop engaging, creative, and high-quality content (graphics, videos, and written posts) for social media channels.
Marketing Campaigns: Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and promotions.
Analytics and Reporting: Track social media metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and engage with followers to grow and maintain a positive online community.
Market Research: Assist in researching industry trends, target audience behaviors, and strategies to inform marketing efforts.
Collaborations: Coordinate with team members and influencers for promotional partnerships and campaigns.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
Basic knowledge of graphic design tools, like Canva, is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Passion for social media, marketing, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
