Food Waste Prevention Week is a national movement dedicated to reducing food waste. To celebrate, Deschutes County is launching a Food Waste Prevention Workshop for Restaurants. Brought to you by Deschutes County Solid Waste, Deschutes County Environmental Health and Love Yourself Nutrition. This workshop is designed to empower restaurant owners, catering managers, chefs, and kitchen teams with the tools they need to cut food waste, save money, and elevate sustainable practices in their operations. Food waste isn’t just an environmental issue; it’s a business opportunity.
During this workshop, participants will discover proven strategies to reduce waste before it happens, streamline kitchen systems, optimize purchasing and storage, and improve overall efficiency. Learning and implementing new practices can reduce environmental impact, boost profitability, strengthen resilience, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Join us and be part of a growing movement in Central Oregon’s food community to reduce food waste. Together, we can build cleaner, greener, more efficient kitchens that support both the bottom line and the planet. Registration: $10 (early registration by September 25) $15 (after September 25) Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking conversation on food waste prevention in restaurants.
We look forward to seeing you there! Secure your spot today and enjoy a morning filled with valuable insights and networking opportunities! Register for the Food Waste Prevention Workshop here.
